Thanks to everyone who came to Tim’s Stag night, except Two-sheds who put wasabi in the curry I’d spent a significant amount of time making! Grrr!

Disarm are planning on doing some recording later this month, which may be exciting

They’re playing a semi acoustic set at Avonhead’s evening service this week. It’s a café service, so should be a good time.

We had a fantastic time on Wednesday, although Disarm only got to play 3 songs which was kinda sucky. What was awesome was that this time I could actually hear Greg!!! Yay!! Shame when you can see he’s playing something that should sound really cool and you can’t hear it.

After ducking out for a coffee we got back to the dux in time to see slipstream and to watch Four Man Bob close it.

To be honest I’ve seen the Bob do much better. It sounded a bit sloppy, and it was all the same songs they’ve been playing every gig since last year. The transformer must have been stoked though. He got to hold Nolan’s guitar for the first song, and pretend to be a roadie.

Relient K have a new album out soon, I think they may have even signed with Capital (Yep them kind folk who host Radiohead, Steriogram, Coldplay and Squad Five O) for mainstream distribution.

Anberlin also have a new album scheduled for release in Feb or so.

I think the lads may have a new one on the way sometime too.

Coming up, on the last Sunday of November, Detour and Magnify will be playing at Spreydon Baptist’s evening service. It might be fun to pop along. They’re doing a tour and everywhere else in the country it costs 5 bucks, but cos it’s at a church service, Christchurch gets it free.

Hey, it wouldn't be a stag night without a bit of burn. BTW Tim's can be suprisingly tough. J
